Episode 23

For a number of reasons I am not at liberty to discuss, I was annoyed in the extreme throughout this morning’s show. Despite the bizarre circumstances, I still think things turned out well. I spoke with a couple of the show’s regular listeners before I left for the studio and suggested that it was going to be one of the most downtempo, potentially depressing ones ever. I won’t know for sure how the show turned out or whether it drove anyone to despair, though, until I can actually listen to the whole thing and hear from a few folks. Stay tuned.
There is good news, however. The next episode will mark the one-year anniversary of ECI (actually, it’ll come a day after the anniversary), and, given the show’s proximity to a major greeting-card holiday, I’ve finally decided what to do: the long-rumored love song show. I have yet to decide on the progression or the tunes, but suffice it to say that lyrically the tunes will cover a lot of bases: seeking love, finding love, losing it and perhaps even finding it again. Along the way, there’ll be many expressions of bitterness, elation and everything in between. It’ll definitely be worth hearing....
